Packaging Operator - Richfield

Barrett Business Services is hiring a Packaging Operator for their whey processing facility in Richfield, ID. Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Packaging Operator to join our team at Glanbia Foods' whey processing facility in Richfield, Idaho. The successful candidate will be responsible for packaging and performing quality assurance checks on powder, ensuring high-quality products are delivered to our customers. Responsibilities:
• Packages powder, seals bags, and stacks on pallets
• Operates forklift/stacks pallets
• Check weighs packages
• Assists in restacking and re-bagging powder as necessary
• Cleans packaging room
• Promotes and exhibits strong Food Safety, Quality, Sustainability, and Housekeeping practices
• Reports Safety, Food Safety, and Quality, Sustainability, and Housekeeping problems to direct supervisor immediately
• Actively participates in teams and on projects to improve metrics for given area of responsibility
• Performs other duties as assigned
• *Qualifications:**
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Capable of reading and comprehending text and numbers, doing simple math, using charts and tables, and using measuring instruments
• Forklift experience preferred or must be trainable
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
• Knowledge of USDA, FDA, SQF, and customer requirements for a food manufacturing plant
• Knowledge of Sustainability and EPA requirements for a manufacturing plant
• Ability to operate (or learn to operate) necessary equipment
• Excellent record required in safety, attendance, and punctuality
• Ability to stand and walk the entire shift if needed
• Ability to communicate verbally and read and write instructions in English
• Must be able to work weekends and overtime as required
