Origination Manager - Renewable Energy

Climate17 seeks an Origination Manager - Renewable Energy for an international developer in North Carolina. With over 15 years of experience in the sector, they have a proven track record of developing projects across the globe. Our client has undergone significant international growth, establishing a presence in numerous regions worldwide.

Position
We are in search of a commercially minded people-person with a background in renewable energy business development, project development, consulting or advisory and exposure to PPA and offtake agreements.

Role Details
• Originating commercial opportunities Direct to Consumer (DTC), behind-the-meter with large industry customers.
• Collaborate across the internal teams and with external stakeholders, building strong relationships and trust.
• Taking a lead on power purchase agreements and offtake agreements for large scale renewable energy projects.
• Ability to identify opportunities and evaluate associated risks.
Skillset
• Solutions person with a clear understanding on how to find business opportunities for renewable energy projects.
• Strong sales acumen and driven people-person with a commercial mindset.
• Experience in renewable energy acquisitions, project development, or business analysis.
• Exposure, if not leadership, on PPA and offtake negotiation.
• 2-5 years of large scale renewable energy experience.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Environmental Science, or equivalent professional experience
• Proficiency with financial modelling.
• Proven analytical skills and strong organizational skills.
Location
• The position is hybrid and requires someone based in North Carolina (or relocate with assistance)
Salary and Benefits
• Salary banding: $120,000 - $150,000 base.
