Day shift 8h00-16h30
Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Order Selector Team Leader is responsible for supporting the effective daily operation of the account while overseeing effective work processes. This position will monitor work performance and complete various administrative functions. This position also has functional responsibility for shift coordination, productivity levels and maintaining the daily operation of the facility.
• Audit and ensure that defined standards for order picking / packing and labeling are met including Safety and Productivity standards;
• Monitor and support approved working procedures;
• Prioritize and monitor daily employee work assignments and follow up with supervisor on performance results and responsibilities;
• Assist with the efficient delivery of all assigned tasks through hands on coordination;
• The accurate and effective preparation of required documentation;
• Be responsible for validation accuracy of prepared orders before shipping to customer;
• Communicate with the customer to ensure requirements are met;
• Assist in the training of new employees and provide additional training of employees as required;
• Act as support and back-up for the supervisor when required;
• Promote a clean, safe and positive work environment;
• Must be available for additional shifts and weekend work when required.;
• Other duties as required.
EDUCATION:
• Completion of secondary school diploma.
EXPERIENCE:
• Three (3) years’ experience in a warehouse environment (with the ability to lead and train);
• Minimum of 1-year experience in a similar role.
CORE COMPETENCIES:
• Proven communication skills both verbal and written;
• Ability to prioritize work assignments;
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures;
• Service oriented with effective customer interaction skills;
• Strong analytical, interpersonal and leadership skills;
• Good computer skills, including WMS and Microsoft Excel and Word;
• Ability to life 50lbs
