Operations Support and Commissioning Engineer

APA Group is seeking an Operations Support and Commissioning Engineer for a one-year fixed-term contract in Kidman Park, SA. We now have an exciting opportunity available for an Operations Support and Commissioning Engineer to join our Networks team in Kidman Park SA, on a fixed term contract for 1 year.

Reporting to the Manager, Operations Support and Commissioning, you will play a key role in implementing industry best practices for providing engineering support to Operations and ensuring commissioning and handover of new or upgraded assets is performed in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide first line engineering support to Operations and Capital Delivery departments with high standard customer service and accountability
• Liaise with Operations and Capital delivery project managers and supervisors to ensure engineering support, commissioning/ decommissioning tasks and project handover activities
• Develop and implement industry best practice for reliability centred maintenance
• Prepare commissioning procedures for new or upgraded assets or decommissioning procedures
• Ensure new assets, upgrades and decommissioning of assets is completed with all required documentation

About You
• Extensive experience in the design, construction, operation and maintenance of gas distribution and transmission assets
• Experience in operations and commissioning/decommissioning
• Detailed knowledge of gas network and associated infrastructure design construction and maintenance policies, procedures and practices
• Solid knowledge and understanding, interpretation and application of national, industry Codes of Practice, Standards, Acts and legislation that are relevant to the gas distribution/transmission industry Chartered Member of a relevant engineering institution or Engineers Australia (preferred)
• Registered Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ) (preferred)
