Our Brand-new Cleanaway Material Recovery Facility is located at Glendenning, the site is ideally located along the M7 corridor near the M4/M7 interchange. The new facility is designed to meet industry expectations for material purity and reliability. This will be a best-in-class recycling facility, equipped with the latest optical sorting technology screening and conveying methodology, ensuring the waste generated by residents continues to have reliable pathways to the recycling market.

The Opportunity
We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our team. Based in our new state-of-the-art facility in Rooty Hill NSW. This role involves managing staff, optimizing processes, and ensuring that all activities align with company standards and objectives. Supervise and coordinate daily operations to ensure smooth workflow
• Lead and manage a team of approx. 30 employees, including training, mentoring and performance evaluation.
• Implement and enforce operational policies and procedures
• Monitor and optimise production processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards and reporting.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues promptly
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions
• Conduct facility inspections to ensure proper work procedures, health, safety and environmental compliance are followed
• Conduct safety meetings, perform observations, and maintain records in the safety management system
About You
The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with a strong operations background and excellent organisational and reporting skills
• Proven experience in an operations or supervisory role.
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Self-directed, and accountable with Strong operational acumen.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Run weekly Toolbox meetings
• Have experience with reporting and auditing
• Competent in Microsoft Office suites.
