Osmium Energy is seeking an Operations Manager for EPC Solar Projects in Bengaluru, India. The role involves overseeing procurement, vendor management, and supply chain functions to ensure efficient project execution. Key responsibilities include managing vendor relationships, coordinating with internal teams, monitoring inventory, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies. Candidates should have a degree in a related field and 4-8 years of relevant experience, preferably in solar or renewable energy.
About the Role:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented professional to lead our operations, procurement, vendor management, and supply chain functions. This role is critical in ensuring seamless end-to-end project execution by maintaining timely procurement, optimizing costs, managing vendors, and ensuring smooth logistical and operational coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee procurement and purchase planning for raw materials, equipment, and services as per project requirements.
• Manage and streamline vendor selection, onboarding, negotiation, and evaluation processes.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure consistent quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
• Coordinate with internal teams (Design, Projects, Finance) to align procurement with operational needs.
• Monitor inventory, material movement, and logistics to prevent delays and overstocking.
• Ensure cost control and budget adherence through strategic sourcing and vendor performance analysis.
• Develop and implement supply chain best practices, improving overall operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, contracts, and industry regulations.
• Handle purchase order documentation, invoice tracking, and coordination with the finance team.
• Drive continuous improvement in operational workflows, vendor strategies, and delivery schedules.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 4–8 years of experience in procurement, vendor management, or operations, preferably in solar, renewable energy, or manufacturing sectors.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain systems, ERP tools, and procurement workflows.
• Proven negotiation and vendor development skills.
• Excellent organizational and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on cost optimization and timely execution.
• Ability to manage multiple projects under tight timelines.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with solar or renewable energy project procurement
• Familiarity with government/vendor portals and commercial compliance
• Knowledge of logistics planning and contract management
