Job Description
Strata Clean Energy is seeking an Operations Coordinator in Durham, NC. The role involves overseeing daily operations in construction departments, coordinating project setups, managing resources, and assisting with training and documentation. Candidates should have a high school diploma, administrative experience, and strong communication skills. This position requires travel and is performed in an office environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Organization, flexibility, attention to detail and strong communication skills are critical in performing duties which include, but are not limited to:
• Ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the Construction and Self-Perform departments
• Collaborate with Administrative, Construction, PMO, Cost Controls and Scheduling teams to assist with the setting up of new projects
• Coordinate generation, response, distribution and filing of status updates and schedules.
• Work closely with the CM., Administration, and Cost Control teams to help track project resources
• Assist with staff transfers between projects. (Mobilizations/Demobilizations)
• Assist with all aspects of the First Time Right program
• Oversight of the First Time Right budgets and resources
• Assist with onboarding efforts of the Construction and Self-Perform departments
• Coordinate all training activities & assist the training team in preparing detailed reports for self-perform teams
• Champion Mobilization & Demobilization efforts of the Expeditor team
• Prepare, submit and track weekly/monthly reports
• Track weekly/monthly attendance and worked hours of internal/external staff
• Manage the Construction SharePoint site and ORG structures
• Oversight of labor invoice reviews/approvals for errors
• Assist with reviewing and updating the workforce tracking document
• Prepare, update and implement Standard Operating Procedures & Standard Work Instructions
• Champion continuous improvement efforts
• Assist in tracking Fleet and other assets/resources of the Construction, Self-Perform, and FTR Teams
• Champion document control efforts
• Prepare documents – Writing, proof-reading and editing project documents in support of the team
• Administrative responsibilities to support meetings and document package development
• Assist in rollout of policies and procedures
• Coordinate site visits and events
• Monitor and track certifications of the Construction and Self-Perform departments
• Assist in special projects and initiatives
• Assist with staff forecasting and assignment per project schedule
• Other duties as assigned by the Sr. Ops Manager and/or Sr. Director of Construction
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
• Minimum High School Diploma or GED
• 4 Year College Degree (Preferred)
• Preferred 5+ Years of experience in construction environment
• Preferred 5+ Years of experience in construction operations
• Must have 5+ years of administrative experience
• Must possess strong computer and technical skills
• Must have experience in Microsoft Office
• Must be organized and able to multi-task
• Proven involvement with construction projects: experience with PV desired
• Read construction drawings a plus
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple assignments, and prioritization is required
• Successful candidates will be self-starters that enjoy challenges
• Travel is required as needed
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment: Work is performed in an office environment. Must be able to sit, stand, bend, twist and lift up to 20 pounds.
