Job Description
The Operations Assistant/Tree Runner position at Central Tree Planting in Fredericton, NB, Canada, is essential for supporting tree planting operations during the summer. Responsibilities include organizing daily tasks, driving, managing inventory, and ensuring safety and quality. Applicants should have a Class 4 or 5 license and be able to perform physically demanding tasks. The role offers a salary up to $1300/week and emphasizes teamwork and sustainable land management.
The Operations Assistant/Tree Runner position is critical to our planting operation, and we have multiple positions available. They are a vital support role for our tree planters throughout the summer and require highly motivated self-starters.
Operations Assistant/Tree Runners are responsible for organizing day-to-day operations to maximize crew productivity. Duties will include, driving, loading unloading boxes and or trays, setting up caches, equipment use (skidder, pumps, vehicles), watering trees, tree deliveries, managing inventory of both full and empty tree trays. Supporting safety and quality of the operation and team will be expected. As well as other duties as needed.
Salary up to $1300/week (negotiated based on experience).
• Class 4 or 5 license with a clean driver’s abstract
• Tree planting experience is considered an asset
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Willing and able to perform physically demanding tasks
