Job Description

Ameresco is hiring an Operations and Maintenance Technician for their methane gas turbine plant in Las Vegas, NV. The role involves operating and maintaining plant equipment, conducting inspections, coordinating with subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Candidates should have at least 2 years of relevant experience and a valid US driver's license. The position requires working a staggered 8-hour shift from Wednesday to Sunday.
Overview:
Ameresco, Inc. is seeking an Operations and Maintenance Technician to join our Alternative Fuels Team at a methane gas turbine plant in Las Vegas, Nevada. As an O&M Technician, you will be responsible for operating the plant and associated equipment, working a staggered 8-hour shift, Wednesday to Sunday. Responsibilities:
• Assist with daily operations, maintenance, and minor repair of drainage distribution systems and power plant support equipment
• Provide assistance with equipment inspection, maintenance tasks, troubleshooting, and diagnoses of landfill gas to energy plant equipment and systems
• Coordinate, schedule, and participate with subcontractors, equipment service work, inspections, and maintenance activities as required
• Ensure compliance with plant specifications to ensure timely service and reliable product delivery
• Perform frequent rounds of plant and report any abnormalities
• Perform proper shift turnovers at beginning and end of shifts
• Prepare and maintain daily reports
• Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
• Adhere to an assigned work schedule, including availability for on-call support or varied schedule needs
• Learn and operate various control systems for the plant
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures for plant start-up and shut down
• Stay within operating parameters set by Manager and notify management of any production problems
• Maintain good housekeeping practices
• Maintain shift logs for all shift activities
• Field trouble calls from customers and document as required
• Adhere to all company and customer safety requirements and policies
• Ensure compliance with company, industry, trade, regulatory, and jurisdictional hazardous material and safety standards, practices, and codes
• Perform other duties as assigned
• *Qualifications:**
• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 2 years equipment experience using mechanical, electrical, instrument, or control system skills
• Valid US driver's license
• Additional qualifications include experience performing mechanical maintenance on blowers, compressors, and equipment, experience with rotating equipment, gas turbines, or gas engines, and knowledge of electrical power equipment and gas plant operations
