Job Description
BPL Plasma is seeking an Operational Excellence Lead in Elstree, UK, to drive financial performance and culture change through Lean Six Sigma methodologies. The role involves data analysis, process improvement, and training staff on Lean Six Sigma principles. Candidates should have a Green or Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma and experience in operational environments. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders and a focus on continuous improvement.
Kedrion Biopharma is recruiting an Operational Excellence Lead, with experience in Lean Six Sigma deployment activities, to join their Operational Excellence Department (Elstree site).
Reporting to the Head of Operational Excellence, the incumbent will be a core member of a team of practitioners armed with the mandate of driving measurable financial performance outcomes and culture change across the business and carrying out allocated project activities utilising Lean Six Sigma and/or similar process improvement methodologies.
The OE Lead must be able to quickly understand site systems and processes in order to identify opportunities for improvement. They should have an action-oriented and collaborative mindset, with a demonstrated track record of forming productive, trust-based relationships with colleagues at all levels.

Duties & Responsibilities -
• Extracts knowledge and insights from high volume, high dimensional data in order to investigate complex business problems through a range of data preparation, modelling, analysis and/or visualization techniques, which may include the use of advanced statistical analysis, algorithms, predictive modelling, experimentation and pattern recognition to create solutions that enable enhanced business performance.
• Operational Performance Data Analysis
• Perform detailed data mining in order to increase understanding of performance data and to generate valuable insights / trends etc.
• Utilise advanced software skills to manipulate raw data, to correlate patterns etc.
• Produce and interpret statistical data, from various inputs.
• Identifies voice of the customer and defines project metrics.
• Measure, analysis and improve process capability using Six Sigma tools including Measurement System Analysis, Design of Experiments, 7 Quality tools, Statistical Process Controls, Bottleneck analysis, FMEA etc.
• Delivers measurable results and presents findings to senior leadership team.
• Guides project teams through all phases of the DMAIC road map.
• Assist with training Elstree staff and local management on Lean Six Sigma principles, tools and techniques.
• Provide expertise and share best practices on site and with the wider Global OE team, regarding Six Sigma tools & methodologies.
• Hands on support and coaching for staff leading their own continuous improvement initiatives in order to gain White, Yellow and Green belt qualifications.

• Bring any risks or issue to the attention of your manager or the SHE department.
• Focus on improving Health and Safety at all times.
Project Management
• Team member together with leading and reporting on Continuous Improvement projects to key stakeholders both on and off site.
Skills & experience to help you within the role –
• Lean Six Sigma Green and Black Belt
• Direct experience in Lean Six Sigma continuous improvement initiatives
• Educated to degree level or equivalent with experience of working in a 24/7 shift based operational/manufacturing environment.
• Formally trained in Operational Excellence with accreditation to Lean Six Sigma Green Belt with practical project experience.
• Hands on experience integrating data from multiple systems eg. SQL, assure, SCADA
etc. and other cloud computing platforms
• Experience leading DMAIC projects through to completion.
• Experience with Minitab or other statistical software.
• Self-driven, autonomous, and must be data and facts driven.
• Must be results driven.
• Excellent communication and persuasive skills influencing positive change management through awareness, understanding, acceptance and engagement.
• Objectivity and open-minded, entrepreneurial and an “out of the box” thinker,
• Consultative style balanced with strong delivery focus.
• Attention to detail – Able to ensure high levels of quality are achieved.
• Able to work under pressure and motivate others to meet tight deadlines.
• Experience with Minitab or other statistical software an advantage.
• Experience of formal project management tools, such as Prince2 plus associated tools and processes, including planning and estimating an advantage.
