Onsite Logistics Manager (wind) on a 12 month contract position located in Dexter, MN.

Logistics Manager Responsibilities:
• Manage the delivery and removal of materials and equipment for the wind repower project.
• Ensure all logistical aspects of the project are handled efficiently and accurate.
• Manage the delivery of new materials to the site, including nacelles, generators, and blades.
• Coordinate the removal of certain pieces of equipment from the site to other locations for disposal or storage.
• Inspect incoming deliveries to ensure they meet project specifications.
• Document and track all incoming and outgoing materials and equipment.
• Support efforts required for offsite hauling of materials and equipment.
• Coordinate with contractors on laydown areas and locations for materials and equipment on-site.
• Ensure all logistical details are tracked and checked, maintaining a high level of accuracy and organization.
• Blend of planning, coordination and detailed management to ensure the smooth delivery and removal of materials and equipment for a wind repower project.
• Will start the day with a planning session to outline the days objectives and tasks.
• Hold meetings to coordinate the delivery of new materials and the removal of equipment.
• Discuss any potential issues and align on the days logistics plan.
• Upon arrival of new materials such as nacelles, generators and blades, inspect them to ensure they meet project specifications.
• Accurately document and track all incoming and outgoing materials and equipment. This includes updating logs and records to maintain an organized inventory.
• Work closely with contractors to coordinator the laydown areas and locations for materials and equipment on-site.
• Ensure that everything is placed correctly and efficiently.
• Manage logistics of offsite hauling for equipment that needs to be disposed of or stored elsewhere. This involves coordinating with transportation teams and ensuring all necessary documentation is in place.
• Throughout the day, address any logistical issues that arise, such as delays in delivery or problems with equipment removal.
• Quickly find solutions to keep the project on track.
• Make any necessary adjustments to the logistics plan based on real-time developments and feedback from the field.
• Review the days progress, ensuring all tasks were completed as planned.
• Document any important observations or issues.
• Begin planning for the next day, ensuring that all necessary resources and information are in place for continued smooth operations.

Logistics Manager Requirements:
• Ability to use various computer applications and software for tracking, documentation and communication. This includes proficiency in project management tools, spreadsheets and logistics software.
• 3-5 years experience in coordination roles, preferably within the renewable energy sector or similar industries.
• Familiarity with logistics and supply chain management is essential.
• Strong ability to work collaboratively with subcontractors, sourcing departments, construction managers and other stakeholders.
• Ability to meticulously inspect, document, and track incoming and outgoing materials and equipment.
• Valid Drivers license is required as well as dependable transportation to/from site.

Duration: 12 months

Location: Dexter, MN

Pay Rate: $57-61/hr

PD: 178/day
