O&M Electrician

ACRWORLD is hiring an O&M Electrician for the Wemen Solar Farm in Mildura, VIC, Australia. This permanent, on-site role involves performing electrical and mechanical work to ensure effective operations of the solar farm. Responsibilities include inspections, testing, and liaising with subcontractors. Candidates must be licensed A Grade Electricians in Australia and able to commute to Wemen. The position offers a Monday to Friday schedule with overtime opportunities.

I am representing an established renewable energy company who develop, construct and operate a number of solar farms across Australia. The company pride itself in its quality of work, delivering projects on time, safely and within budgets.

About the Role
You will perform electrical and mechanical works as required to ensure an effective electrical operation on a utility scale solar farm. It's on-site work in all electrical areas (400V / 22/33KV / 1500VDC), to ensure compliance with Australian standards and to get the best performance from the system. It's a permanent position, based at Wemen and is a residential role. Only candidates commutable to the farm will be considered.

Responsibilities
• Electrical inspections, testing and fixing
• Perform Quality and Safety Inspections/Audits
• Reporting works in line with policies and procedures
• Perform O&M activities on all associated electrical assets on the farm
• Liaison with subcontractors
• Contribute to variations, estimates and approvals
• Actively engage in electrical commissioning activities

Skills & Experience
• Qualified and Licensed A Grade Electrician in Australia
• Must be commutable to Wemen, VIC
• HV Switching experience is valuable
• Team player and willingness to work in renewable space
