WTS Energy is seeking an Oil & Gas Domain Consultant in Lagos, Nigeria, to provide expertise across upstream, midstream, and downstream operations. The role focuses on supporting digital transformation initiatives, engaging with clients to identify solutions, and facilitating workshops. Key responsibilities include solution design, business development support, and ensuring alignment with local regulations. Candidates should have a degree in Engineering or Business and 4-5 years of industry experience.
Job Summary
• The Oil & Gas Domain Consultant will provide domain expertise across upstream, midstream, and downstream operations to support digital transformation initiatives in Nigeria.
• The role involves working closely with clients, technical teams, and partners to identify opportunities, define solutions, and deliver value-driven outcomes across the oil and gas value chain.
• The consultant will play a key role in bridging business needs with digital and AI-enabled solutions tailored for the Nigerian energy sector.

Key Responsibilties

Domain Consulting & Advisory:
• Provide subject matter expertise across upstream, midstream, and downstream operations.
• Analyze client business processes and identify optimization opportunities.
• Support clients in digital transformation, operational efficiency, and asset performance initiatives.

Solution Design & Implementation:
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications for digital solutions.
• Support deployment of AI, IoT, and data-driven use cases across oil & gas operations.
• Work closely with engineering teams to ensure domain alignment in solution design.

Business Development Support:
• Support pre-sales activities including proposals, client presentations, and solution demos.
• Identify new use cases and opportunities within existing and prospective clients.
• Contribute to thought leadership and market positioning in Nigeria’s oil & gas sector.

Stakeholder Engagement:
• Engage with client stakeholders including operations, maintenance, and management teams.
• Facilitate workshops, requirement gathering sessions, and solution validation discussions.

Data & Insights:
• Support data-driven decision-making by defining KPIs, dashboards, and analytics use cases.
• Assist in building business cases for digital and AI initiatives.

Regulatory & Local Context Alignment:
• Ensure solutions align with Nigerian regulatory requirements and local content policies.
• Provide insights into market trends, challenges, and opportunities within Nigeria.

Key Performance Indicators
• Client Impact – Measurable improvements in operational efficiency or cost savings
• Use Case Development – Number of digital/AI use cases identified and implemented ≥ 3 annually
• Pre-sales Support – Contribution to successful deal closures
• Client Satisfaction – CSAT ≥ 90%
• Delivery Effectiveness – Timely and quality input into project deliverables

Educational & Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
• MBA or Postgraduate degree preferred
• 4–5 years of experience in Oil & Gas industry
• Experience across at least two segments: upstream, midstream, or downstream.
