Verinext is hiring a NOC Engineer for their Managed Services team in Minnesota. This 3rd shift role involves monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving incidents in IT infrastructure, focusing on backup and disaster recovery solutions like Commvault, Cohesity, Veeam, and Zerto. Candidates should have 2-3 years of relevant experience, strong technical skills, and excellent communication abilities. The position requires working overnight hours to ensure 24/7 coverage.
Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled NOC Engineer to join our Managed Services team in a 3rd shift role. The NOC Engineer will be responsible for providing proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolution of incidents across our IT infrastructure, including Backup as a Service (BaaS) and Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) solutions. This role requires hands-on experience with backup solutions such as Commvault, Cohesity, and Veeam, as well as disaster recovery solutions, with a focus on Zerto. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical acumen, a commitment to continuous improvement, and excellent communication skills, all while working during overnight hours to ensure 24/7 coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide end-to-end support for incidents within defined areas of responsibility, ensuring timely and satisfactory resolution.

Monitor and manage backup and disaster recovery environments, focusing on Commvault, Cohesity, Veeam, and Zerto.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to backup failures, DR replication, and performance degradation.

Act as a point of escalation for complex technical issues, working closely with other engineering teams and vendors to drive resolution.

Proactively monitor the infrastructure and respond to alerts, incidents, and service requests within established SLAs.

Collaborate with the Engineering team to provide detailed and timely escalations when necessary.

Work with clients to resolve their issues, providing exceptional support and maintaining strong relationships.

Document all troubleshooting steps and resolutions in the ticketing system.

Assist in projects related to internal infrastructure improvements and new service deployments.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to backup, DR, and monitoring solutions.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.

2-3 years of experience in a NOC or technical support role.

Within a Managed Services Provider (MSP) or enterprise environment a plus.

Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with backup technologies:

Commvault, Cohesity, and Veeam.

Experience with disaster recovery solutions, specifically Zerto.

Proficiency in networking concepts and troubleshooting processes.

Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V.

Strong experience with Microsoft operating systems; Linux knowledge is a plus.

Experience with cloud platforms, including Azure.

Familiarity with storage technologies.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Server+, or relevant vendor certifications (e.g., Commvault Certified Engineer, Veeam Certified Engineer, Zerto Certified Professional).

Experience with ITSM tools like Jira Service Management.

Familiarity with monitoring tools for proactive alerting and analysis.
