LOCATION:

AFIMSC Det 2 (Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center Detachment
2) directly supports Pacific Air Forces and its area of operations. It is located at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. 25 E Street, Building 1102, Suite C310, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, HI 96853. Hawaiˊi is located 2,200 miles west of California and 4,000 miles east of Japan. Hawaiˊi offers endless opportunities for recreational and cultural activities, including camping, surfing, diving and snorkeling, hiking trails, museums, and parks.

Work location is dependent on the needs of the partner/project/role. In some instances, positions may require staff to be fully in-person. In other instances, hybrid or remote arrangements may be possible.

Position Summary A Natural Resources () Planning & Compliance Specialist position is available with the Center for Environmental Management of Military Lands (CEMML) to provide
-site programming support for Air Force Installation Mission Support Center (AFIMSC) Detachment 2 at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam (JBPHH), Hawaii/Pacific Air Forces. Relocation expenses are available; conditions apply. The work location is at JBPHH, Hawaii. Position qualifies for hybrid, with a regular scheduled time in office at JBPHH, and regularly scheduled time in remote office. This scheduled work arrangement will be defined and agreed upon between AFIMS Det 2 POCs and CEMML, and outlined in a teleworking MOU with CSU HR.The

& Compliance Specialist provides technical assistance supporting installation, regional, and enterprise-wide environmental program management and natural resources programs and initiatives for the Pacific Area of Responsibility (AOR). This position will provide conservation and environmental technical expertise to review, analyze, and validate concept designs, scopes of work, reports, and other documents related to construction and enhancement projects, natural resources conservation and restoration, in accordance with conservation goals and requirements in installation Integrated Natural Resources Management Plans (INRMPs).

The & Compliance Specialist shall perform or review data collection, statistical analysis, enforcement action critical analysis, and validation; develop data trend analyses and technical solutions; troubleshoot systems and permit compliance, where applicable; and supply guidance and recommendations for annual updates to INRMPs and other media plans as they pertain to conservation goals and requirements. The and Compliance Specialist is expected to travel a minimum of 2 to a maximum of 4 times per year, including internationally, to provide installation support in Pacific Area of Responsibility.

Must be able to communicate and interact with internal/external staff, Air Force officials, airmen, and the public in a professional manner. Work requires a high degree of independent judgment/decision making, technical writing and organizational skills, attention to detail, and people skills.
