Job Summary:
We seek a highly skilled professional to manage complex projects related to environmental protection and sustainability. This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing project applications, work plans, site assessment reports, data validation reports, risk assessments, remediation plans, and final project completion reports. They will also be responsible for reviewing data for multiple environmental media, collecting information from fieldwork and report reviews, and determining if site conditions are being accurately characterized.
Additionally, this role will involve managing state-wide project management responsibilities, which may include Brownfields, Superfund, or Federal facility site management. The employee will utilize a project management database to track planned and ongoing projects, provide budget projections, and document cost recovery. They will also oversee and coordinate site project activities with applicants and environmental consultants conducting site work, and state contractors performing brownfield assessment activities.
In this role, the employee will have opportunities to participate in program policy development and standard operating procedures, promoting consistent and high-quality operations within the Office of Environmental Remediation.
