The North America Environmental Assurance and Protection (EAP) organization is seeking a Multi‑Site Environmental Manager to support our Amazon Logistics (AMZL) Operations across the West Super Region. This role supports multiple sites (8 +) within a specific Sub Super Region (CA Region), covering the Orange County area and assigned to DFX9. The Multi‑Site Environmental Manager is based in the San Diego area and visits assigned sites 2‑3 times monthly, traveling more than 50% of the time.


Key Responsibilities

Manage and execute multi‑site environmental compliance to air emissions, storm water, waste, wastewater and other laws, regulations and permits, including required Federal, State and local reporting.
Execute business conformance with Amazon EAP Management Systems policies and develop Amazon Geo‑Specific Operational Environmental Procedures, integrating with engineering, construction and operations.
Lead regulatory agency interactions, permit evaluation and processing, and introduction of new processes and technologies.
Act as primary point of contact for environmental regulatory agencies and represent Amazon at appropriate levels with governmental agencies and throughout the company.
Ensure work performed by contractors, consultants and employees meets regulatory requirements and Amazon standards.
Monitor environmental metrics to review trends and identify areas for improvement.
Conduct thorough and accurate environmental inspections and audits for continuous improvement.
Prioritize and manage multiple, technically complex assignments concurrently.
Build and manage collaborative relationships with stakeholders to ensure risks are identified early and managed appropriately.
Compile and submit time‑critical reports to various governmental agencies.
Complete environmental incident investigations and associated regulatory reports, and develop appropriate corrective actions.
Ensure site leadership and associates are trained and knowledgeable of their responsibilities under each policy.

A Day in the Life
The Multi‑Site Environmental Manager will analyze environmental performance, establish and monitor metrics, and guide operations leadership teams in implementing Amazon environmental policies and standards across sub‑regional sites. The role works with internal and external partners that include government entities, contractors, consultants, design, construction, operations and other key stakeholders.


Basic Qualifications

Experience with all Microsoft Office applications.
3 + years of compliance, audit or risk management experience.
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles / Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements, or equivalent.
Professional Engineer or equivalent certification.
Master’s Degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, or related field.

The base salary range for this position is US$74,200.00 – 129,800.00 annually (USA, CA, Huntington Beach). The package includes sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Compensation is based on experience, qualifications & location.
