Multimedia Storyteller for Ecosystem Restoration

Plant-for-the-Planet is seeking a Multimedia Storyteller to create engaging content about ecosystem restoration in Mexico City. The role involves filming, editing, and storytelling to update donors on tree planting efforts. Candidates should have experience in multimedia production, social media skills, and a passion for environmental issues. This is a full-time position requiring relocation to the Yucatán peninsula.

We are seeking a skilled Multimedia Storyteller to join our team on the Yucatán peninsula in Mexico, working closely with our restoration sites.

Job Description:

As a Multimedia Storyteller, you will be responsible for producing engaging multimedia content (short clips, 30 seconds to 2 minutes) that informs and updates our donors about their planted trees.

Your role will involve:
• Filming, interviewing, and editing short clips independently
• Identifying and developing new stories related to ecosystem restoration
• Maintaining camera equipment
• Welcome journalists, influencers & partners on site
• Writing blog articles about the challenges faced during restoration processes
• Engaging with the Plant-for-the-Planet community, restoration organizations, and stakeholders to create content and stories highlighting the importance of ecosystem restoration in tackling the climate crisis
• Producing at least one content piece per week

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should have:
• 1 year experience in filming, making interviews, and editing
• Proficiency in handling semi-professional video cameras
• Pasisonate about storytelling in short reports for online or television platforms
• Social media expertise, familiarity with latest trends, and ability to increase followers
• Fluency in English
• Able to meet deadlines, work in fast-paced environments, and coordinate with various teams
• Willingness to relocate to Constitución
• Alignment with Plant-for-the-Planet's values and mission
