Job Description
WWF-Australia seeks a Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Specialist for a 2-year contract, focusing on the Regenerative Climate pillar. About the Role
The Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Specialist applies professional standards and procedures to provide technical expertise and support for monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) across projects, programs and strategic outcomes of the Regenerative Climate pillar. As part of WWF Australia's dedicated team of MEL specialists, the role supports continuous improvement of WWF Australia's practices to align with WWF's standards, donor requirements and professional best practice.
Key Accountabilities (Refer to Position Description for full list of Key Accountabilities)
• Leads a complex multi-country monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) program, and coordinates multistakeholder activity components to ensure effective implementation of monitoring and reporting requirements.
• Applies technical expertise to support staff and partners in developing theories of change, designing best practice MEL plans that align with WWF Australia's strategic outcomes and approaches to data collection and analysis.
• Leads engagement with relevant programs and initiatives to strengthen integration, collaboration and learning to deliver insightful reporting and compelling storytelling tailored to a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Engages professional networks and communities of practice to share knowledge of emerging MEL trends and supportive a reflective practice for continuous improvement, delivering training to build capacity of WWF staff and partners.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience (Refer to Position Description for full list of Selection Criteria)
• Demonstrated experience and expertise in established and developmental monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) approaches for international development, climate policy and/or conservation programming.
• Demonstrated experience coordinating training, roundtables, evaluations and other types of learning events and/or knowledge exchanges.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills, with experience in working in cross-cultural environments.
• Demonstrated experience in project management and delivery, including contracting and managing consultants and technical consultants to deliver positive outcomes across programs and strategy.
