Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Mobility Consultant to join our team! You will play a key role in integrating urban planning principles with transportation strategies to enhance the efficiency, accessibility, and sustainability of urban environments.

This role involves overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of mobility-related design activities within a diverse portfolio of projects. The consultant will work closely with internal teams, development companies (Dev Cos), and external consultants to review master plans, optimize multi-modal transport integration, and contribute to procurement and governance-related activities. A deep understanding of urban mobility trends, smart city technologies, and innovative transportation solutions is essential for success in this role.

What You'll Be Doing:
• Lead and manage the integration of urban planning and mobility within master planning and development projects.
• Develop and implement smart and sustainable mobility strategies that align with urban design principles and regulatory frameworks.
• Ensure that transport planning aligns with smart city technologies, innovation, and sustainable urban development goals.
• Provide expert insights into the design scope of work (SoW) for master planning and infrastructure development phases.
• Review master plans across the PIF portfolio and Dev Cos, ensuring compliance with integrated urban mobility strategies.
• Evaluate and implement multi-modal transport solutions, including public transport, micro-mobility, walkability, shared mobility, and smart transport technologies.
• Champion innovative solutions that enhance the accessibility and efficiency of urban transportation systems.
• Assess and optimize Traffic Impact Assessments (TIA) and mobility studies to improve transport infrastructure planning.
• Leverage digital and data-driven mobility solutions, such as AI-driven traffic management, connected infrastructure, and Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) platforms.
• Stakeholder Coordination & Governance
• Collaborate with Dev Cos, government agencies, and external consultants to refine urban mobility and transport planning strategies.
• Participate in workshops and high-level meetings related to urban master planning and infrastructure development.
• Ensure compliance with PIF’s regulatory standards, sustainability policies, and smart city governance frameworks.
• Provide expert guidance on public transport integration, transit-oriented development (TOD), and parking management strategies.
• Review and contribute to Basis of Design (BoD) presentations and Dev Co reports to support senior management decision-making.
• Prepare and present technical reports, mobility strategy recommendations, and smart city transport insights.
• Monitor and track project progress, ensuring that urban mobility milestones are met on schedule.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:
• Bachelors Degree from an accredited university in an associated field
• Minimum 15 years of experience in a relevant field
• Expertise in urban planning with a strong focus on transportation systems, multi-modal transport integration, and transit-oriented development (TOD).
• Strong background in urban mobility, transport planning, and infrastructure development.
• Proven experience in design strategy, traffic impact analysis, and smart mobility implementation.
• Knowledge of urban planning regulations, sustainability principles, and compliance standards.
• Familiarity with smart city technologies, AI-driven traffic management, IoT-based transport solutions, and data-driven mobility planning.
• Proficiency in urban design and mobility planning tools, such as GIS, AutoCAD, and mobility simulation software (e.g., PTV Vissim, Aimsun, or similar).

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
• Deep understanding of urban planning and its role in transport network development.
• Experience in developing and implementing smart city mobility solutions.
• Familiarity with Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS), autonomous transportation, and intelligent transport systems (ITS).
• Ability to champion innovative solutions that improve urban accessibility and enhance the efficiency of transportation systems.
