## Key Role Overview
This senior technical and leadership role is responsible for driving the development and deployment of advanced power electronics and energy systems across research, development, testing, and validation activities. The Mission Leader will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage large program budgets, and collaborate with government agencies, national labs, and industry partners to advance state-of-the-art technologies and identify new business opportunities.
## What are the Key Responsibilities?
- Lead the development and deployment of advanced power electronics and energy systems, including design, testing, and validation of new technologies.
- Collaborate with government agencies, national labs, and industry partners to advance the state-of-the-art in power electronics and electrical engineering.
- Manage and mentor teams of engineers and researchers to achieve project goals and objectives.
- Develop and manage large budgets to support project activities.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships to drive growth and innovation.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements (e.g., wide bandgap devices, high-power converters, EV and renewable energy systems) and apply knowledge to drive product and service improvements.
## What are the Required Qualifications?
- Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in power electronics and electrical engineering, including R&D, team leadership, and collaboration with government agencies, national labs, and industry partners.
- Strong knowledge of power electronics and electrical engineering, including experience with advanced technologies such as wide bandgap devices and high-power converters.
- Experience managing large budgets and leading teams of engineers and researchers.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively with government agencies, national labs, and industry partners.
- Strong business development and partnership-building skills.
## What are the Preferred Qualifications?
- Knowledge of industry trends and developments in power electronics and electrical engineering, including electric vehicles and renewable energy systems.
- Experience with project management tools and techniques, including agile development methodologies.
- Prior experience working with government agencies, national labs, and industry partners to advance technology development.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to motivate and direct multidisciplinary teams.
## Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range for U.S.
- based candidates: $152,400 to $254,000. The Company may apply a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
- Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.

## Additional Information
- Work arrangement: remote position with required travel to the research center headquarters in Niskayuna, NY; flexible work arrangements may be discussed.
- This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information; final offers may be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
