Millwright Technician

Nutrien is seeking a Millwright Technician in Augusta, GA, to support maintenance of rotating equipment, including pumps and turbines. Responsibilities include executing preventive maintenance, performing repairs, managing documentation, and mentoring junior technicians. Candidates should have a high school diploma, relevant experience, and a commitment to safety. The role requires physical capability to work in industrial environments and may involve extended hours and overtime.

What you will do:
• Support the timely execution of rotating equipment PM/PdM activities including documentation of findings, work performed, and follow up work if required
• Perform corrective repairs and overhauls of rotating equipment including pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, product elevators, blowers, turbines and etc, leveraging precision maintenance methods and technics
• Manage and maintain asset and work history documentation leveraging CMMS and other databases
• Utilize the CMMS system to access asset information including, asset attributes, history, Bill of Materials, and standard job plans
• Support validation and refinement of asset bill of materials, standard job plans, and PM activities
• Order unplanned materials from the Warehouse and verifies the availability via the CMMS system
• Provide work execution feedback and post job reviews of actual work performed and materials used compared to plan and provides feedback to planning
• Coach and mentor less experienced technicians
• Support 5-Why and other Root Cause Analysis
• Participate in the Management of Change (MOC) process and supporting activities and documentation

What you will bring:
• High School diploma or equivalent is required
• Technical or vocational degree related to industrial or mechanical maintenance is preferred
• Industrial maintenance mechanic NCCER certification preferred
• 6 years of rotating equipment maintenance experience required
• A commitment to Safety and Environmental leading practices and culture
• A commitment to continuous improvement
• Oracle EAM experience is preferred
• Willingness and ability to work extended hours and required overtime, particularly during turnarounds and unit down times
• Must be able to climb stairs and ladders, work at heights, safely lift up to 50lbs, walk, crawl, bend, stoop, and work in confined spaces
• Comfortable working in an industrial atmosphere with fumes, temperature extremes, loud noise, vibration, dust, etc
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, overtime, and extended outage schedules based on plant issues and outages
