Job Overview
A well-established law firm is seeking a mid to senior-level Project Finance Associate to join its Project & Energy group. This role focuses on energy transition financing, offering the opportunity to work on globally recognized projects in the renewable energy sector. The associate will be involved in complex financing transactions, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and tax equity structures related to energy transition projects.

Duties
• Handle complex transactions related to financing and M&A of energy transition projects and companies.
• Manage tax equity and renewable energy tax credit monetization.
• Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents for project financing.
• Collaborate with clients on strategic legal and financial matters in the energy transition space.
• Lead and support innovative financing deals related to renewable energy and infrastructure projects.
Requirements
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in energy transition finance matters.
• Proven experience with tax equity and renewable energy tax credit transactions.
• Strong analytical and legal drafting skills.
• Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team environment.
Education
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.
Certifications
• Must be admitted to practice law in the jurisdiction where the position is located.
Skills
