Barr is excited to invite an experienced electrical engineer to be a part of our wind and solar collection team. In this versatile role, you'll play a critical part in our power delivery projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and providing essential electrical engineering expertise.

Your responsibilities will include:

Design and Analysis: Develop designs for both DC and AC collection systems as well as power plant controllers, focusing on renewable energy projects.Project Management: Oversee proposal development, including defining scopes of work, deliverables, schedules, and budgets. Ensure milestones are met while providing updates to team members and clients.Mentorship: Guide and support the growth of junior team members, fostering their professional development.Collaboration: Build strong relationships with clients and internal teams, working across disciplines to align technical approaches with client goals and cultivate an inclusive team culture.Your Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a design role related to renewable energy projects, with hands-on experience in solar DC and AC collection system design.Licenses: Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain one within a year.Software Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Office.Additional Requirements: Valid driver's license and eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.Preferred Qualifications:

Over 10 years of experience with renewable energy systems.Expertise in collection system studies and energy storage facilities.Familiarity with data analysis regarding energy production forecasts.Experience with AutoCAD.About the Opportunity:

Work Arrangement: This position offers hybrid or remote work options, allowing you to split your time between a Barr office and your home office, subject to individual qualifications and company needs.Travel: Expect limited domestic travel, approximately 10-15% for fieldwork.Work Environment: Prepare to work in various terrains typical of construction sites, with provided safety training.Compensation: Anticipated salary range is $90,000 - $120,000 annually, dependent on experience and skills, along with eligibility for performance-based bonuses.
