Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Business development; including bringing in new clients and obtaining repeat business from existing clients, leading proposal preparation, and developing and implementing a business development plan. Provide support to the New Jersey Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) team through preparation of reports, forms, and other documents to be submitted to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP).
Task and project management, including planning and implementing investigation and remediation projects, budgeting and budget management, adherence to schedule, quality, client satisfaction, and profitability.
Management and mentoring of junior staff and managing subcontractors.
Work plan development, data evaluation, and report writing.
Data analysis, including preparing maps and figures using GIS/Environmental Visualization Software (EVS) applications, and database management.
Prepare technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals.
Review and manage written document production.
Prepare for and participate in meetings with clients, regulatory personnel, and other parties.
Conduct fieldwork including multi-media environmental sampling, sediment sampling and characterization, drilling oversight, contractor oversight, and remediation system operations, maintenance, and construction.
Direct multi-disciplinary project teams.
Task and project-level responsibility for scoping, performing, managing and delivering multiple concurrent project assignments.
Consistent with our sell-manage-do business model, play a role supporting lead generation, business development, staff development, and mentoring; and
Help broaden our reputation via publishing and visibility at prominent industry conferences.

Education and Licensure

Bachelor's degree in engineering, geology, or related field. (required)
Advanced degree in the same. (preferred)
Professional registration. (i.e., P.G.) (preferred)

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

At least 5 years of direct environmental consulting experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
Experience with multi-disciplinary project teams. (required)
Demonstrated success in the development and management of clients. (required)
Proven leadership skills. (required)
Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed. (required)
Regional visibility through involvement in professional associations or trade organizations. (preferred)
Regular field work and overnight travel. (required)
Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers. (preferred)
Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required.
Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
