Job Description

BCG Attorney Search is seeking a mid- to senior-level Projects and Energy Finance Associate in Los Angeles, CA. The role involves managing legal aspects of financing transactions in energy transition and digital infrastructure, drafting agreements, coordinating project closings, and providing strategic legal advice. Candidates should have at least 4 years of relevant experience, strong analytical skills, and a JD. The firm promotes a balanced workload and values diversity.
A law firm seeks a talented mid- to senior-level associate to join its Project & Energy Finance team, specializing in financing energy transition and digital infrastructure projects. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced attorney to work on high-profile, cutting-edge matters involving complex financing solutions in the evolving energy sector. You will be part of a dynamic team focused on international projects in energy transition and data center development.

Duties
• Manage and support the legal aspects of financing transactions, particularly within the energy transition and digital infrastructure sectors.
• Draft and negotiate loan agreements, security documentation, and other related legal instruments.
• Coordinate complex project closings, ensuring all legal and regulatory requirements are met.
• Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide strategic legal advice.
• Collaborate with internal teams to structure and execute innovative financing deals.
• Assist in developing and maintaining strong client relationships through excellent service and technical expertise.

Requirements
• At least 4 years of project finance experience, focusing on energy transition or digital infrastructure.
• Proficient in drafting and negotiating loan and security documents.
• Strong experience coordinating complex project closings and managing multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills.
• Ability to work independently while being a valuable team player.

Education
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications
• Admitted to practice law in the jurisdiction where the position is located.

Skills
• Expertise in project finance and energy transition-related transactions.
• Strong legal research and analysis skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple projects.
• Client-focused approach with attention to detail.
