The Central Land Council is seeking a Social Performance Coordinator in Alice Springs, NT, Australia. The role involves enhancing engagement with resource companies and monitoring social performance related to minerals and energy agreements. OUR STORY
The Central Land Council (CLC) is a corporate Commonwealth entity established under the Aboriginal Land Rights (Northern Territory) Act 1976. The CLC represents traditional landowners, native title holders and other Aboriginal people in the southern half of the Northern Territory—an area of almost 780,000 square kilometres.
The CLC provides its constituents with advice, advocacy and practical assistance to support their aspirations, manage their land and realise and protect their rights.
AFFIRMATIVE ACTION PLAN

THE ROLE
SOCIAL PERFORMANCE COORDINATOR
SO C starting at $111,631 progressing to $120,541
ONGOING CONTRACT
The role will make a significant contribution to strengthening the CLC's engagement with, and monitoring of social performance of resource companies. Responsible for implementing and overseeing a range of measures that will support the CLC and traditional owner governance groups to monitor the outcomes of minerals and energy agreements and effectively engage with companies to secure the implementation of social aspects of agreements.
Also responsible for coordinating the CLC's governance role and implementation in relation to the Tanami Desert Ten Year Plan, under the direction of the CLC steering committee (managers across functions). Coordinates internally and liaises with Newmont social responsibility staff in relation to social performance and continuous improvement. Responsible for effective consultation with CLC constituents (traditional owners and nominated Aboriginal community members) in relation to Ten Year Plan governance and resourced activities
BENEFITS

Total effective package includes: base salary, district allowance, superannuation, leave loading, relocation assistance, annual airfare allowance and salary packaging options. Annual progression within the salary scale is subject to satisfactory performance. Progression is in accordance with annual increments set out in an enterprise agreement.
