Job Description

Lynker Corporation is hiring a MetOcean Data Analyst to support NOAA's National Data Buoy Center in Center, MS. The role involves analyzing meteorological and oceanographic data, recognizing system anomalies, and requires experience with scientific programming and MS Office. As part of our ongoing growth and expansion, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced MetOcean Data Analyst to support the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) National Data Buoy Center (NDBC).
We are pleased to inform you that Lynker Corporation supports a flexible work environment. Remote work is permitted upon approval; however, you will also be required to work from the on site office as necessary to fulfill your roles responsibilities.
Qualifications:
Background or experience in analyzing meteorological and oceanographic observations (e.g. winds, atmospheric pressure, temperatures) in the marine environment and identifying observational errors of all types.

Familiarity of operating characteristics of automated monitoring systems and the ability to recognize system performance anomalies.

Some experience with scientific programming and analysis tools

Experience with Microsoft Excel and other MS Office products as well as Google Suite applications.

Strong communication and customer service skills

BS Meteorology, Oceanography, or Physical Sciences
