Job Description
The Green Energy Advice Bureau is seeking a qualified Metering Engineer – Dual Fuel to conduct site surveys and installations across the UK. The role requires expertise in gas and electricity infrastructure, with essential qualifications in gas and electric metering. The position is full-time, Monday to Friday, offering a salary of up to £50,000 plus bonuses. Candidates should have at least three years of relevant experience.

Who are you?
You are a qualified dual fuel metering engineer, with at least 3 years of experience. You understand how electricity and gas infrastructure works in large multisite organisations and what scenarios can increase consumption and in turn wastage.
You will have some knowledge of electricity and gas monitoring equipment including loggers and metering including U6 up to U160, experience in rotary and turbine work would be beneficial. For electric a knowledge of three phase, whole current and CT would be beneficial.
You will be used to working on active sites and have a personal and approachable manner.
What does the role entail?
The role will require you to complete site surveys and installation across the UK. This could be a simple smart meter install, dual fuel meter installs or installation of our non-intrusive EMS solutions.
Working alongside our sales and energy management team you will be our representative on a customers site, guiding and facilitating customers to upgrade their metering and monitoring capabilities.
What qualifications should you have?
Essential:
Gas Qualifications –
• MET4/CMET1/CMET2
• ICPN1
• TPCP1/1A
• COCN1
• CMA1/CCN1/CESP1
• REGT1/REGT2
Desirable:
• Gas Safe Registered
• Relevant H&S Qualifications
• PASMA
• City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent in relevant gas discipline
• Diploma in Smart Metering Gas
Essential:
Electric Qualifications –
• MOCOPA Smart metering
• 18th Edition
• CoMCoP/SMICoP
• Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Power Engineering – CT/VT Metering (2339-34) or equivilant
• Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Power Engineering – Whole Current
Desirable:
• IOSH/relevant H&S desirable
• PASMA
• NICEIC Registration
