Job Summary

MycoWorks is seeking a MES Application Engineer who will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance, development, testing, and implementation of new features for our TrakSYS MES application at our production facility. This role will involve working with Kepware OPC UA server and Canary Historian to ensure seamless data flow and system performance.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and MES principles, coupled with hands-on experience in software development and system integration. The position would also be providing end-user support, creating training documentation and performing user training.

Responsibilities:
• Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for the existing TrakSYS MES implementation.
• Develop, test, and implement new MES features and functionalities based on business requirements.
• Collaborate with external TrakSYS Developers to ensure efficient development practices and knowledge transfer.
• Integrate and maintain data exchange flow between TrakSYS, Kepware OPC UA server, and Canary Historian.
• Conduct thorough testing and validation of MES changes to ensure system stability and reliability.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including system specifications, user manuals, and troubleshooting guides.
• Work closely with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and plant Maintenance teams to understand their needs and translate them into effective MES solutions.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize MES performance and efficiency.
• Manage and prioritize tasks effectively to meet project deadlines and business objectives.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of MES application development and support, ideally in manufacturing
• Strong understanding of MES principles and hands-on experience with MES software (TrakSYS preferred)
• Proficiency in C#, .NET, Python, or JavaScript, and SQL (troubleshooting and query optimization)
• Experience with OPC UA servers (Kepware preferred) and Historian systems (Canary or OSI PI preferred)
• Familiarity with work/project management platforms (e.g., Monday.com, Asana, Smartsheet)
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Preferred: Experience in fast-paced manufacturing, database management, data analytics (Power BI/Tableau), version control (GitHub), incident management (SolarWinds), REST APIs, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, Snowflake)
