In this full-time position, you will be responsible for performing various patient care tasks, including taking vitals, gathering patient history, and triaging patients. You will assist with medical procedures such as incision and drainage, lacerations, and wound care. Additionally, you will administer medications through various routes, conduct lab testing, and manage front desk operations as needed. You will also have the opportunity to complete training and become certified with the Department of Transportation to perform Urine Drug Screens and Breath Alcohol Tests. Responsibilities
• Perform patient care by taking vitals, patient history, and triaging patients.
,
• Assist with procedures such as incision and drainage, lacerations, and wound care.
,
• Administer medications via intradermal, intramuscular, and subcutaneous routes, carry out ear lavages, and run EKGs.
,
• Conduct lab testing such as urinalysis, urine pregnancy tests, blood glucose testing, monospot, rapid strep and influenza testing, and rapid HIV testing.
,
• Manage the front desk and perform receptionist duties as needed.
,
• Complete training and become certified with the Department of Transportation to perform Urine Drug Screens and Breath Alcohol Tests.

Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program (except in those state(s) permitted by law for exemption with experience, diploma, and/or national certification).
,
• Current BLS certification.
,
• 1+ years experience as a Medical Assistant.
,
• Ability to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

• Great communication skills.

Nice-to-haves
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
