Role Description

Form Energy is hiring a mechanical technician to support our operations team. This role reports into our Operations Sustaining organization . As part of our sustaining team, you will be involved in new process deployment and stabilization in partnership with production teams. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and be part of the growth of a fast-moving company with breakthrough technology and an incredible mission!

This opportunity is based out of the Greater Pittsburgh Area at Form Factory 1 in Weirton, WV.

What you'll do:
• From design specifications and blueprints, assemble, build, and qualify new fixtures, tools, and equipment
• Work closely with designers and engineers in collaboration with cross-functional members of Form’s Advanced Manufacturing and broader technology teams
• Participate in iterative build processes, confirming mechanical requirements are achieved
• Perform hands-on assembly and building prototypes from designs
• Work with engineers and technical operations to transition design builds from the prototype stage to high-volume internal production
• Sustain high volume operations

What you'll bring:
• 3 – 4 plus years of industry experience in mechanical technician engineering
• Hands-on experience manufacturing, assembly, and building equipment from blueprints
• Proficient in basic hand tools, cordless drills, hand saws, etc.
• Nice to have experience, manual mill, table saw, bandsaw
• Design experience is beneficial (not required)
• Excellent communicator across a range of engineering and business functions
