Salary range $89,558 – $110,146 plus super plus allowances and OT

Who are you?
You have a strong mechanical background in heavy industry or a similar environment, with a Certificate III Trade Qualification (Mechanical) or equivalent. A Driver’s Licence is essential, while certifications like Confined Space Training, Dogman/Rigger, and Person in Charge authorisation are desirable.
Your experience includes maintaining industrial mechanical and electrical equipment, troubleshooting technical issues, and working in environments requiring scaffolding, crane driving, rigging, and dogging. Proficient in SAP, MS Office, and asset management systems, you excel at working independently, prioritising tasks, and balancing competing demands.
With strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, you are an effective leader and team player.
About the role:
As Mechanical Supervisor you will oversee mechanical maintenance, upgrades, and refurbishment of hydro turbines, penstocks, gates, valves, and auxiliary systems, ensuring project success through safety leadership, technical excellence, and effective team coordination.
This role requires frequent travel and onsite attendance as per the outage roster.
Responsibilities will include:
• Overseeing the refurbishment and installation of mechanical systems, including turbines, rotating equipment, and associated components.
• Performing First Pass inspections, identifying and escalating issues as needed, and ensuring timely completion of work orders in SAP.
• Preparing, reviewing, and finalising Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and Inspection Record Sheets (IRSs) to maintain quality assurance.
• Facilitating daily planning and progress meetings while supporting compliance audits for Work, Health, Safety, and Environmental (WHSE) regulations.
• Delivering hands-on training and mentorship to apprentices and graduate engineers.
