Piper Maddox is proud to be supporting a leading fully electric, vertical take-off and landing aircraft company based in Bristol, in search of an Advanced Mechanical Engineer to support Systems Instillation. For the last ten years, this company has been developing groundbreaking aircraft designed to deliver fast, efficient, and sustainable air mobility. Their focus on creating zero-emission aircraft and their investment into advanced technology has resulted in partnerships with major airlines and Aerospace tier 1 suppliers.

They are now looking for a talented Advanced Mechanical Engineer to take the lead on the design of equipment fittings and fixtures onboard the aircraft. This is a design-centric role focused on clean-sheet projects, offering the opportunity to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams to ensure all systems are engineered to meet stringent airworthiness standards.

As an Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer, you will:

• Collaborate with teams to ensure solutions satisfy multiple stakeholder requirements.
• Guide and mentor junior engineers, fostering knowledge-sharing practices.

The experience we are looking for:
• Proven experience in the design and integration of aircraft fixtures and fittings.
• Strong background in Mechanical Design or Stress Engineering - bonus if you bring both!
• Proficiency with CAD tools; experience with CATIA is highly desirable, though not essential.
• Ideally, you've worked in the aerospace industry and have a solid understanding of relevant industry standards.

If you think that this might be the right opportunity for you, I'd love to share more details with you. Please apply below and I will be in touch.
