Form Energy is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.What You'll Do:Partner with the cathode cell development and battery design teams to help validate full-scale electrode production processesExplore the materials property relationships that drive electrode performanceSpecify, execute, and interpret experiments to quantify electrochemical performance, and bridge the gap between R&D and product devices on our pilot production line; Develop requirements for materials processing as part of the manufacturing processWrangle data from test stands and electrochemical cells to enable data-based decision-making and provide regular data updates to the development teamSupport electrochemical testing by writing test protocols, troubleshooting and resolving failures, and maintaining cells on test; Develop novel test methods to evaluate electrodes in real-time during productionChampion for safety, especially in the development of new laboratory processes and cell designsWhat You'll Bring:Bachelor’s degree required in Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field3+ years of experience in a pilot line or manufacturing NPI environmentExperience using statistical methods for making process development decisions; Experience with common analytical methods used to characterize materials; Experience with statistical data analysis software such as JMPExperience with QC testing and process validationComfortable independently advancing experiments from conception through data analysis with a high level of attention to detailWell-developed communication skills collaborating with a group of peers and broader organization and the ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment
