The Mary Robinson Climate Justice Award 2020, hosted by One Young World in Germany, supports young leaders aged 18-30 with impactful climate justice initiatives. The award includes a £4,000 grant, fully funded participation in the One Young World Summit 2021 in Munich, and mentorship from Mary Robinson. Eligible projects should address climate change and align with principles of climate justice. Deadline for applications is July 23, 2020.
One Young World with Mary Robinson offers Mary Robinson Climate Justice Award 2020 to support young leaders who run innovative and impactful justice initiatives that are preserving the planet for future generations.
The effect of climate change is being felt right now by millions of people around the globe through rising sea levels, extreme weather systems, and devastating droughts.
If you are working for climate justice in your community? Or having a project to handle climate change problems and address the global imbalance created by climate change, you can apply to the Mary Robinson Climate Justice Award 2020.
About the Mary Robinson Climate Justice award?
You may know that climate change is impacting the life of a large number of people (millions) around the world. Most of the issues they face by climate changes are shown in the following forms:
• Rising sea level
• Extreme Weather System
• Destructive droughts.
Though it is hard to solve these problems, fortunately, there are many people and organizations such as One young world and many other organizations that are working to finding the climate change impacts, the imbalance it creates in the world, and how to make it balance and bring the climate justice. One young world and Mary Robinson offers The Mary Robinson climate justice award, to recognize and support Young Leaders who have worked and their work and projects have a positive impact on bringing climate justice in their community. This award provides financial support and fully funded delegation place in the One Young World Summit 2021.

Benefits of Award
The Awards provides the following benefits to the winner:
• A grant to start your project or support the existing one ( £4,000 Cash)
• All the expenses will be paid to participate in One Young World summit 2021 in Germany as a delegate. the expense covered are:
• participation at the One Young World Summit 2021
• Hotel Accommodation between April 23-26, 2021
• Travel Cost to and from Munich
• Meal
• Opportunity to present your project or initiative to the World’s media and Young leaders from 196 countries
• Mentorship opportunity from Mary Robinson and Her network member

Who is eligible to apply?
Anyone who is between 18 and 30 years of age with a project that fulfills the following criteria can apply?
• Address executable development and climate change to emphasize on balancing the needs of present and future generations- this could be through financing, frontline services, advocacy, education, communication, legal/policy change or a business solution such as rising awareness about current challenges to reduce the poverty and ensure that our future generation has the same natural resources we have today.
• Projects should be connected with one or more of the seven principles of climate justice:
• Respect and protect human rights
• Support the right to development
• Share benefits and loss fairly
• Ensure that decisions on climate change are clear and accountable
• Highlight gender equality
• Control the flexible power of education for climate surveillance
• Use effective partnership to secure climate justice
• Occupy a senior leadership role in a legally registered organization undertaking projects relevant to climate justice.
Assessment Criteria:
• Project ambition ( The effect in balancing the needs of the present and future generation)
• Project relevance to climate change (climate justice )
• Community value: The community your project or work are implemented.
Application procedure:
Applicants need to read the eligibility stated above if they are eligible, apply through online application from linked below before 25 July 2018. Shortlisted candidates will undergo an online interview with Mary Robinson and One Young World co-founder.
