OVERVIEWThe Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible to increase revenues and improve profitability of their SBU through professionalism in Manufacturing Engineering, cost reduction, and Project Management.The ideal candidate is a local who is looking to be a part of a company with proven stability and ongoing reinvestment for growth for our Wagoner, OK factory.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSBe an active member of a Production Efficiency Team seeking to identify, develop, and implement cost reduction opportunities throughout the factory and product lines.Be a project management professional, planning, scheduling, and leading all projects to successful completion in the shortest possible time, at the lowest possible cost, and always on time, and at or below budget.Become the expert in Manufacturing Engineering techniques and principles related to equipment, products, and processes under his/her responsibility.Monitor and analyze production cost data to prioritize Efficiency Team efforts to significantly reduce and control costs, increase production efficiencies (parts per hour), and increase throughput.Champion the use of automation through the integration of new technologies.Be an expert in solids modeling (SM), utilizing SM techniques in all machinery and process documentation, including advanced techniques such as animation, and 3-D models.Be the technical expert for all equipment utilized in their area of responsibility.Identify all critical to quality (CTQ) processes and parameters and provide procedures, sign offs, product documentation, and training to production operators.Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.Perform a variety of complicated tasks utilizing a wide degree of creativity and latitude.Be able to work productively with minimal supervision.EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIESProduct development experience 2-5 yearsExperience with Project Management and PrioritizationSolids Modeling experience 2-4 yearsManufacturing engineering experience a plusSheet metal and/or metal fabrication experience a plusKnowledge of lean and/or Six Sigma conceptsFamiliar with mechanical drawing standards and practicesBOM understanding and experienceMS Office proficient, especially ExcelEDUCATION4-year Engineering Degree required; typical degrees would be:BME: Bachelor of Mechanical EngineeringBSME: Bachelor of Science of Mechanical EngineeringBMET: Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering TechnologyWHY JOIN DMI COMPANIES?Our benefit offerings meet or exceed nationwide benchmarking of US companies.
