Summary:

The Senior Managing Director and Head of Debt and Equity Capital Markets will be responsible for the strategy and execution of the capital raising business lines across the bank and securities markets for loan syndications, junior capital, public and private debt markets for High Grade and High Yield issuers, and equity capital markets. The leader will guide the execution of the existing strategic plan across these business lines and ensure effective management of resources, including talent development. In addition, the role will guide the effective collaboration and right channeling of referrals with Capstone for capital raising opportunities and have full responsibility and accountability for the financial performance of the business lines.

Duties And Responsibilities
• Ensure effective collaboration and partnerships for the capital raising product lines across the banking segments for optimal alignment to meet budget / performance expectations and execute against the strategic plan.
• Collaborate effectively with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line partners on policy, procedures, and client opportunities as necessary to achieve results within our low to moderate risk environment.
• Identifies and responds to opportunities, investigates, analyzes, and assists in negotiating and consummating transactions. Establishes and maintains relationships within Huntington to ensure an effective referral program in an effort to drive OCR through both our products and third party relationships / partnerships.
• In collaboration with capital markets and commercial leadership, own the strategic planning process for the business lines.
• Attract, retain, and develop a diverse group of talent necessary to compete and win across the business lines.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications
• Series 79, 63, and 24 required within 6 months of start date
• Bachelor's Degree10+ years of experience in Debt Capital Markets or related capital markets role

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to interact effectively across all organizational levels.
• Progressive thinker and problem solver, with a strong ability to manage ambiguity/complexity.
• Work effectively in teams as well as independently across multiple tasks while meeting aggressive timelines.
• Ability to embrace change, constructively negotiate issues, and effectively leverage resources to create exceptional outcomes. Consistently model and inspire high levels of professional demeanor and integrity.
