BridgeTower Media is seeking a Managing Director of Events Revenue to oversee the strategic planning and execution of their national event portfolio, focusing on revenue growth. The role involves driving sponsorship and attendee sales, developing event strategies, and managing financial goals. Candidates should have extensive experience in event management and strong leadership skills. This is a remote position for candidates based in the United States.
BridgeTower Media is seeking a Managing Director of Events Revenue, who will be responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, execution, and optimization of the organizations national event portfolio, with a primary focus on driving sustainable revenue growth. This role demands a seasoned leader who can blend creative vision with data-driven decision-making to deliver exceptional event experiences while achieving financial objectives.

This is a remote position, but the candidate must be based in the United States.

Key Responsibilities:

Revenue Generation

- Drive sponsorship and attendee sales efforts, building mutually beneficial relationships with key stakeholders.
- Assess sponsorship packages across the portfolio and recommend/implement best practices based on event type
- Oversee ticketing and registration strategies, including packages, pricing models, discount structures, and promotional campaigns.
- Create and implement sales enablement programs to drive success across sales teams, collaborate with brand leaders, event staff and marketing to optimize event revenue and profitability.

Strategic Leadership

- Develop and execute a comprehensive events strategy aligned with organizational goals, emphasizing revenue generation, brand visibility, and attendee experience.
- Identify market trends and opportunities to create new innovative, profitable event concepts.
- Establish and manage financial goals, budgets, and KPIs for all events, ensuring profitability and sustainable growth.

Event Planning and Execution

- Lead the planning and execution of revenue optimization across large-scale conferences & expos, thought leadership programs, local recognition events and webinars
- Collaborate with event operations teams and external partners to ensure seamless operations, from vendor negotiation and logistics to on-site management and post-event evaluation.
- Leverage technology and innovation to enhance the attendee experience and increase ROI.

Team + Stakeholder Management

- Collaborate with internal departments, including sales, marketing, and event operations to align event strategies with broader organizational objectives.
- Serve as a key liaison with external partners, sponsors, and vendors.

Analytics + Reporting

- Utilize data analytics to measure event performance, including attendance, engagement, and revenue metrics.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Prepare and present detailed post-event reports to stakeholders.

Key Qualifications + Competencies:

- Bachelors degree in business, marketing, event management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 8+ years of experience in national event management, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth through events.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration and negotiation abilities.
- Experience with event technology platforms, CRM tools, and analytics software.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
- Strategic thinker with a revenue-first mindset.
- Strong financial acumen and budget management expertise.
- Innovative problem solver with attention to detail.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with high-level stakeholders.
- Reliable home internet connection with minimum 50mbps up/10mbps down
