Job Description
Ultra Clean Technology is seeking a Manager of Technical Training in Singapore. This onsite role requires expertise in technical training and onboarding, focusing on developing programs and facilitating training for employees. Responsibilities include managing the Learning Management System, conducting skills gap analyses, and collaborating with regional leaders to ensure effective training initiatives. The ideal candidate holds a relevant Bachelor's degree and certifications in learning and performance.
Job Summary:
The Manager of Technical Training is an onsite position requiring deep knowledge, experience, and thought leadership in technical training, training and onboarding, new employee orientation, and change management. The right applicant possesses the tactical knowledge of designing, developing, and facilitating programs, policies, and procedures that make a complex process clear for leaders and employees to understand and carry out. The right applicant can articulate the relationship between the corporate strategic L&OD (Learning and Organization Development) vision, region and site needs, and tactical execution of a program or system. The position requires close relationships with regional general managers and human resource leaders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• A subject matter expert on highly customizable product/ platforms
• Organize and support Train-the-Trainers sessions for SMEs
• Responsible and manage Learning Management System (LMS) for direct labor
• Develop and maintain Technical Training Framework
• Refresh technical training content periodically to prevent quality issue by working with ME and Quality team.
• Conduct individual and team skills gap analyses
• Develop technical training courses for MFG DL and IDL
• Ensure all new hires undergo basic technical training
• Schedule in-house educational sessions using e-learning platforms
• Gather feedback from trainees and instructors and recommend suggestions to the learning process
• Design, develop, implement, and facilitate regional (APAC) technical training programs, including but not limited to technical career paths for direct and indirect employee populations, manufacturing skills, workmanship standards, materials management, lean, quality, technical problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Collaborates with regional General Managers, Training Managers, and HR leaders in Asia to ensure consistency of training and organizational development programs and initiatives across all UCT regions. Identifies existing, internal best practice training programs for consideration of enterprise-wide adoption.
• Collaborates with the UCT Director of Leadership Development and Regional Training Managers to teach and coordinate Regional (APAC) leadership development, as well as leader onboarding programs.
• Review existing training programs and suggest enhancements and modifications to improve engagement, learning, and retention and/or meet the organization's changing needs
• Facilitates developing and aligning organic learning efforts from within the business to corporate learning roadmap and fosters UCT's DEIB and engagement work
• Maintains knowledge of new methods and techniques for training and training requirements applicable to the organization
• Use learning system technology as required
• Any adhoc duties assigned by HOD & Site Management
Educational/Certification Requirement: List both minimum and preferred educational requirements. Also provide minimum and preferred designations (e.g. CPA) or certifications (e.g. AWS)
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics /Mechatronics/Engineering or related field and/or equivalent.
• WSQ in ACTA or ACLP (Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance)
Experience Requirement:Describe both minimum and preferred years of experience, previous responsibilities, or industry background (e.g. Minimum 2 years of marketing experience. Preferably in manufacturing/semiconductor industry)
• Minimum 8 years experiences in manufacturing/aerospace/engineering industry
• Experience designing and developing technical manufacturing training programs
• Able to comprehend electrical / mechanical drawings and technical concepts
• Must have 8 years of experiences delivering classroom training to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Must have strong written and verbal communications skills with an ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Lead by example and role model in passion for best-in-class training delivery
Preferred Education/Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree in Education, Organization Development, Workforce Education and Development, Human Resources Development and/or related field and/or equivalent preferred.
• Semiconductor technology and value-chain experience, Lean manufacturing, and quality a plus.
