Job Description

Power Trading and Sustainability Services is the business line of Customized Energy Solutions which focuses on providing end to end Services / Solutions to Commercial and Industrial Consumers in managing their electricity portfolio by facilitating access to the multiple market opportunities. Customized is also a Trader Member on Indian Energy Exchange and licenses Electricity Trader since 2011 and is actively working the field of Renewables, Energy Access and Sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:
• Understanding of policy and regulatory structure of India’s Power sector and relevant experience.
• Keep track of developments in the power sector of India. Analyse and assess the impact.
• Preparatory Tasks for Open Access (Infrastructure Replacement / NoC and other Clearances and Approvals required from the SLDC/Discom)
• End to end operations related to exchange-based services – bid placement, settlement, client interactions, etc. Clear understanding of Open Access Regulations and it’s on ground implementation process.
• Techno-commercial evaluation and analysis of Renewable Energy transition opportunities like Captive / Group Captive open access, Third Party open access, Exchange based trade, Solar Rooftops, etc.
• Data Repository and Data Management
• Client’s Bill Settlement & Verifications and Summary after Energy Adjustment (RE + Px)
• Co-ordination between Client and RE Developer – Energy Balance and Payments Reconciliation
• Regular interactions with existing clients
• Consulting Assignments - Provide data analysis support for project execution in the energy sectors – renewable energy, energy access and Battery Energy Storage Solutions.
• Basic understanding of Power Purchase Agreements and key clauses.
• REC Sale Purchase Co-ordination Activities
• Supporting Finance and Accounts Team for invoicing clients
• Supporting team in business development activities
• Regulatory Filings, Audits
• Actively Engage with clients across the country and maintain a growing pipeline of customer
• Support business development initiatives in energy consulting opportunities including but not limited to proposal writing and data analysis

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Power Management or Equivalent streams. Master’s degree is preferred
• 8+ years’ experience with exposure to India energy markets, open access, assisting corporates with energy specific sustainability initiatives
• Skillset: Power Trading, REC, Renewable Energy, Electricity Regulations, Power Distribution, Power Generation
• Experience in analysis part of renewable energy roadmap & implementation.
• Excellent communication and articulation skills
• Good Planning & organizing skills, time management, attention to detail.
• Experience in carbon mechanism / I-REC mechanism is preferred
