Job Description
PwC Australia is seeking a part-time Manager - People for a 12-month contract in Melbourne, with hybrid work options. The role involves supporting Team Leaders in HR matters, mentoring junior staff, and delivering operational HR services. Candidates should have 2-5 years of HR experience, strong relationship-building skills, and expertise in HR technologies like ServiceNow or Workday. The position emphasizes flexible work arrangements to suit individual lifestyles.
12 Months Maximum Term Contract
Sydney/Newcastle/Melbourne/Brisbane - Part time of 3 days a week (Job share arrangement) - Hybrid - Manager
• Support PwC’s Team Leaders on things like performance support matters, probationary matters, Team Leader inductions, WHS support programs, strategic HR projects, working with our business partner teams and general HR support for our Team Leader population

About The Role
Our People at PwC Advisory team is expanding and we’re looking for an experienced part-time Manager to job share and join our vast community of solvers. The People at PwC team brings our purpose to life by supporting the firm’s people over their employment lifecycle, and empowering them to navigate their careers and apply our policies and processes. We deliver high quality operational HR advice, transactional services and an amazing customer experience, blending technical skills and strategy to advise our internal functions and teams with spectacular results.
You’ll help solve complex problems by using your skills in:
• Having 2 - 5 years experience as an HR Business Partner or Senior Shared Services team member to deliver operational excellence in People & Culture (P&C) service delivery within PwC
• Your experience or desire to work in a shared service centralised operating model
• Motivating and effectively coaching others
• Having relationship building skills and the ability to step into challenging conversations when needed
• Developing and implementing process improvement and lead process change
• Having subject matter expertise in ServiceNow, Workday or similar technologies, or a strong interest in developing deep technical skills in this area
• Having strong problem-solving skills and ability to understand and interpret data
• Understanding of the HR lifecycle at PwC and its link to business and P&C strategy
• Understanding of standardised SLAs/performance metrics to improve service delivery
• Your intermediate excel skills; intermediate google collaboration skills
In our People at PwC Advisory team, your impact will be seen by:
• Leveraging your deep technical expertise to design excellent solutions for supporting our Team Leaders
• Coaching and supporting of junior team members
• Understanding the value a shared services team brings, and identify ways to enhance operational excellence within the team and in our interactions with Team Leaders and the wider P&C team
• Delighting our customers with a high level of service
• Doing case management via the ServiceNow platform
• Identifying trending issues, and escalate or resolve where possible
• Working closely with the team manager to ensure alignment with the Team Leader strategy
• Bringing our new enhanced PwC Professional framework to life through our service delivery model
• Creating great relationships with colleagues in Payroll, Talent Acquisition, Performance and Reward, L&T, Wellness and P&C Business Partners to respond to and resolve issues
Education Level
• Undergraduate degree or similar, or relevant experience in Human Resources, desired
