About the position
The Manager, Operations at Spire Inc. is responsible for leading the Missouri Field Operations team, specifically in the Shrewsbury location. This role involves overseeing Maintenance, Distribution, and Service activities to ensure that operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company policies. The manager will work closely with various stakeholders, including city officials and community organizations, to maintain positive relations and promote the use of natural gas.
Responsibilities
• Complete the annual O&M budgets for the Leak & Maintenance and Service Department in the Missouri East service territory.

• Oversee monitoring, forecasting, and variance reporting of actual expenses.

• Lead a team of supervisors across multiple locations, providing updates and direction as needed.

• Engage with city, county, and public officials to maintain positive community relations.

• Participate on local boards and community organizations as needed.

• Promote the use of natural gas to potential customers, including builders and developers.
Requirements
• High School diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
,
• Valid driver's license required.
,
• 7 years of natural gas or energy industry experience required.
,
• 5 years of overall supervisory experience preferred.
,
• 3 years of Supervisor/Administrator experience in the energy industry required.
,
• Knowledge of Operations and Procedures Manual, standards, and OQ requirements.
,
• Knowledge of human resources and collective bargaining agreements.
Nice-to-haves
• Experience in Construction, Distribution, Maintenance, Service, Engineering, or Instrument & Control in the energy industry.

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with diverse individuals.
