About The Role
As Events & Webinars Manager, you are responsible for the successful delivery of events across our audience groups, taking accountability of all event elements from briefing and logistics through to completion, delivering to deadlines and within budget. This hands-on and fast-paced role will see you supporting the Director of Events & Webinars in helping to maintain and deliver a program of face-to-face events, virtual conferences and webinars as part of the Research Marketing (RM) online and offline event portfolio. You will also be responsible for optimizing Elsevier’s presence at sponsored and co-organized third-party events and webinars. Enhancing our customer experience will be paramount, and you will need to work creatively, proactively and think outside of the box. The role will work closely with marketing, sales, digital, regional and other key stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of events, virtual conferences and webinars globally.
Responsibilities
• Managing Research Marketing in-person events and maximizing presence at third-party partnership events to support marketing objectives.
• Assisting in planning, creating, and managing webinars, providing support to internal stakeholders.
• Collaborating with teams on event campaign creation and execution, including web, email, and social media.
• Handling logistical arrangements for in-person events, ensuring appropriate venue arrangements, sponsorship, and audiovisual setups.
• Project-managing virtual conferencing and webinars, working with third-party vendors for successful delivery.
Requirements
• Possess an education background in Marketing, Communication, or English, if possible.
• Have proven experience in B2B event management, specializing in the seamless coordination of large-scale international conferences
• Be able to manage webinars and virtual conferences effectively.
• Be capable of working independently and collaboratively in a team structure.
• Possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills.
• Have experience in budget management and handling complex financials across multiple currencies.
• Be a creative and innovative thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask across multiple projects.
