Eco Guardian Inc. is hiring two Maintenance & Tooling Technicians for their new manufacturing facility in Aurora, ON. About Us:
Eco Guardian is a leader in sustainable packaging solutions, dedicated to producing eco-friendly paper cups, bowls, and other foodservice products. Our new manufacturing facility in Aurora, Ontario, is set to launch in September 2025, and we are seeking two skilled Maintenance & Tooling Technicians to support the maintenance and setup of our production machinery.
Job Summary:
The Maintenance & Tooling Technicians will be responsible for setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting production equipment to ensure optimal efficiency and minimal downtime. This role requires mechanical aptitude, strong problem-solving skills, and experience working with manufacturing machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production machinery and equipment.
· Set up and adjust tooling for new production runs, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
· Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, minimizing downtime.
· Work closely with the production team to ensure machines are operating at peak performance.
· Conduct preventive maintenance to extend equipment lifespan and avoid unexpected breakdowns.
· Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
· Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry regulations.
· Assist in implementing improvements to increase production efficiency.
· Train machine operators on proper equipment usage and basic troubleshooting.
Qualifications & Experience:
· Minimum 3-5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, tooling setup, or a related field.
· Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
· Experience with automated machinery, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
· Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
· Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and best practices.
· Proficiency in using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
· Forklift certification is an asset.
· Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
· Bilingual (English and Mandarin/Chinese) strongly preferred
