Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform preventative/predictive maintenance to all production equipment as required. Work side-by-side with experienced technician during equipment repair and learn smart/safe work practices. Complete small electrical and mechanical projects based on direction given from Team Lead/ Supervisor Demonstrate safe work practices and follow company safety policies, procedures, and regulations at all times. Ensure compliance of all Company policies Maintain personal compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and recommend measures to improve health and safety. Work within a team environment and interact with all areas of production effectively. Repair and replace electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic and electronic components such as motors, contractors, relays, timers, types of switches, PLCs, light curtains, motor controls and valves under direction of Team Lead/ Supervisor Recognize and diagnose faults on electrical equipment or systems, which may involve complex interlocking, interrelated circuits, integrated systems and complex sequencing. Examine, install, replace and repair electronic wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components. Maintain production equipment to maximize operating performance and assist with maintaining electrical spare parts’ inventory levels. Perform repairs on equipment to restore them to proper and safe work conditions under direction of Team Lead/ Supervisor Perform installation, set up, modification and relocation of equipment to accommodate or improve production requirements. Read electrical and electronic schematics/diagrams, basic hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams. Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance Ensure production schedule is not jeopardized due to machine breakdown, or unsafe operating conditions and inform Team Lead/Supervisor about changes in electric circuits and update original diagrams. Always follow LOCK OUT/TAG OUT procedure on unsafe machines/machines being serviced. Adhere to work orders, preventive/predictive maintenance systems by filling in required forms, QualificationsSkills Troubleshooting experience with electrical & mechanical equipment, PLC systems, Robots, AC drives, DC drives, servo drives, motion control, HMI interface, motor controls, safety sensors, and relays Able to read wiring diagrams, electrical/mechanical/pneumatic/hydraulic schematics and ladder/function block logic Theoretical knowledge of industrial PCs and PLCs (Siemens Step 7, Beckhoff TwinCat, etc.) and electric circuitry consisting of contractors, relays, main voltage/control voltage, limit switches and proximity sensors Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Systems (CMMS) an asset Traits Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional team members Mechanical aptitude/ interest Excellent inter-personal and communication skills Team-oriented High degree of attention to detail, precision and follow through Willing and able to work rotating shift Be able to conceive and manage small projects Education and/or Experience Minimum 2 year of experience with strong problem-solving skills Preferred: At least 2 year of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing/industrial environment with multiple priorities A certificate from technical trade school, Military experience in lieu of or related subject Additional InformationCompensation and BenefitsCompetitive Market WagesPaid Time Off (vacation, sick, and holiday)Employee Assistance ProgramMedical/Dental/Vision Insurance PlansEmployee Assistance ProgramTuition Reimbursement ProgramEmployee Recognition ProgramsEmployee PV Panel Purchase Program
