You will lead a team of talented maintainers, coordinate maintenance activities, and uphold the highest standards of safety and performance. About the role:
• Supervise and coordinate a team of maintenance professionals to deliver safe and reliable plant performance
• Implement and oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs in line with the Generation Management of Work procedures.
• Conduct regular safety interactions, risk assessments, and ensure adherence to Origin procedures and directives.
• Manage resources and budgets effectively to deliver all maintenance activities on time and within scope.
• Proactively manage and investigate events and near misses, implement actions and learning to prevent reoccurrence.
• Foster a positive team culture, provide mentorship, and support the professional growth of team members.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align maintenance activities with organizational objectives.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
• Mechanical trade qualifications , coupled with extensive post-trade experience in a power station or similar heavy industry environment.
• Proven experience in turbine maintenance with a strong technical background, supported by one of the following qualifications:
• An appropriate post-trade qualification in Maintenance Management, Project Management, or an Advanced Certificate/Associate Diploma.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to mentor and inspire a team.
• A commitment to safety, excellence, and continuous improvement.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to manage competing priorities effectively.
• Strong understanding of Management of Work, with proven application and high level capability in SAP
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with proven ability to work cross functionally to achieve best for business outcomes
• Relevant industry certifications and a proactive approach to staying abreast of technological advancements.
