Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Maine Wildlife Conservation Director to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing policy initiatives that promote wildlife conservation and sustainable forest management.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement policy initiatives related to wildlife conservation and sustainable forest management
• Collaborate with coalition partners and stakeholders to advance policy objectives
• Develop and deliver testimony to legislative bodies and administrative agencies
• Maintain technical expertise on key policy issues, including habitat conservation, biodiversity, and land use planning
• Cultivate relationships with key individuals, businesses, and organizations to support policy initiatives

Requirements
• At least five years of professional experience in environmental policy or a related field
• Law degree or master's degree in a relevant field preferred
• Commitment to environmental conservation and sustainability
• Demonstrated leadership skills, including ability to think strategically and motivate others
• Excellent communications and advocacy skills across a range of settings
