Your Job
Our Georgia-Pacific Leaf River Cellulose Facility in is currently recruiting for a Main Lab Technician that will be responsible for performing tests during mill upsets and trials and ensuring all routine testing is done on time. This person will also assist with audits and ensuring main lab equipment is maintained and kept in good working condition.
This position will work a 12-hour rotating shift, and the starting pay is $22.95 per hour.

Our products include chemical cellulose, custom fibers, and nonwoven materials that are used in products such as diapers, baby wipes and coffee filters. What You Will Do
• Physically test various samples throughout the mill
• Input test results, verify data and report out results to mill areas
• Collect samples in the field
• General lab upkeep
• Adhere to all plant health, safety, and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
• One or more years of experience in an analytical lab
• Understanding of lab equipment
What Will Put You Ahead
• Bachelor's degree or higher in a physical science discipline
• Three or more years of analytical lab experience
• Understanding of mill areas and test results
• Proficiency in Microsoft office including PowerPoint and Excel
• Proficiency in PI Processbook
