Machine Operator I - Night Shift

Quanex Building Products is hiring a Machine Operator I for the Night Shift in Bowling Green, KY. Quanex is looking for a safety conscious, Machine Operator to join our Night Shift team located in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

In this role, you are responsible for setting-up, operating and verifying the quality of work on assigned machines (Planer/Gluer/Gang Saw/Chop Saw) in a manner to consistently meet production standards and qualifications.

What’s attractive about the Machine Operator position?
• Pay range is $15.75 - $17.00 per hour - starting wage is based on relatable machine operation experience
• Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday: 7:30p - 6:00a & Overtime on Friday if needed
• Saturday and Sunday Nights Off!

What Success Looks Like:
• Follows all safety procedures, rules, and guidelines and identifies any existing or potential safety issues.
• Attends work on time and for scheduled hours each day.
• Accurately, thoroughly, and legibly completes all documentation related to the position.
• Monitors product constantly to ensure that quality standards are being met.
• Performs basic preventative maintenance as required
• Promotes teamwork by cooperating and supporting co-workers.

What You Bring:
• 6 months of related machine operating experience.
• Experience with basic hand tools and measuring instruments.
• Positive attitude and a strong desire to learn.
• Accountability and initiative
• Basic Computer Skills preferred
